Exhibition "Animal Liberation"
Opening December 4th, 2014
It is not for nothing that Ralph Hall took a superhero pseudo: he is a vigilante. He takes advantage of animals against human brutality. However, it is in an artistic way, so non-violent, that Ralph Hall denounces the animal abuse. Each sculpture expresses the suffering inflicted on animals by an instrument of torture: the rabbit and the knife will cut it up, the chicken in the roasting of his cage, the geese force-fed with the funnel, the elephant and the rope that keeps him captive, the fish with his hook, etc. The cause he wants to put the spotlight on is translated artistically with a very original technique: ceramics velvet covered are wonderfully light. They have a sensual aspect to inspire the viewer to touch the works as if he cuddled the animals and a playful aspect to better convey a message eminently hard.
For his first exhibition in France, the artist has chosen Ferrero Gallery, gallery already promoting Italian artists such as Giorgio Laveri ceramist, painter Guido Palmero, or sculptors Stefano Bombardieri and Domenico Bontempi. Now, Ralph Hall into the "Ferrero stable” ... with all his bestiary.
